Re: Dumb Questions
I agree, any area-targeted/area-denial effect that targets Physical Defense (and NOT MD) could be avoided, which opens it up to the same situations that Danger Sense would be useful for. Danger Sense would sense the danger in time for the character to act appropriately, but Displace Self is a "...

Re: Kingdoms of Landis, main source of information.
I assume you are familiar with the references in the basic timeline ("Orichalcum Wars" and strain with Cara Fahd). The Cara Fahd book has a bit of info on some of the fallen Landis cities/kaers. There is also some in the Vivane Province source book of the Vivane and Sky-Point box-set: p.7 ...

Re: Dumb Questions
The mining process of all True Elements produces "kernels", raw sparks of the element (almost corn-kernel sized pin-pricks in reality back to the elemental plane) which directly interact with the elements in their environment. So these kernels are kept in Orichalcum boxes, usually 5 to a b...

Re: [ED4] Astral Interference
Yes. I like to think of Astral Interference as static that makes it more difficult to draw the needed astral arc of power. Baseline Subtraction allows individuals to adapt to the current static and see past it. Also, I think Baseline Subtraction, as an active magical effect on specific targets with ...

Re: (Adanyan's Revenge) Players surrendered, what to do
Have you brought up the Passions yet? Bring them right up to the point of execution, and suddenly have all the elves bowstrings snap at the same time as they draw the execution arrows, and the hidden Ork Questor to Locost Passion of Freedom jump out and cut them loose...

Re: water, air interface
The key with any in-game metaphysical question is to be consistent over the course of your campaign (and try to stay consistent with the metaphysics presented in the book), so that your player's don't get frustrated and can develop strategy, and don't get lost in the rabbit hole of trying to apply m...

Re: Firing Into Melee
The "melee" situation means that most people "in the line of fire" have other people with pointy bits trying to kill them, and thus are distracted. So a mook standing in front of a boss is not "in melee", BUT your pal fighting a mook and another friend fighting the boss...

Re: Firing Into Melee
The firing into a melee rules are intended to make that a dangerous risky option. Find a better angle, or you have a great chance of hitting a friend (or enemy) between you and your target. The rules are setup that way so that the higher the base target's PD is above those surrounding it, then the m...
