Re: 4th Ed Canon

Sorry about the late reply Lou. I've been really busy with work lately and not had much chance to get my thoughts together on the reasons I disliked the series of modules so much (it's also been a long time since I last read them, so I had to give them a re-read to write this reply). ---------------...

Re: Developer's Blog -- A pair of new spell mechanics

That's good to hear. Would love to see some previews too.

It would be great if illusionists got the ability to cast illusionary versions of many Wizard, Nethermancer and Elementalist spells too. ;)

Re: Developer's Blog -- A pair of new spell mechanics

One version of the rule states you only get one attempt to Disbelieve the illusionary damage and then the damage becomes real and must be healed by normal means, however all Wounds and effects from them disappear if you make a later disbelieve check. The next a few paragraphs later says you can atte...

Re: Developer's Blog -- A pair of new spell mechanics

1st Ed it's pretty clearly worded but also causes illusionists to be drastically under-powered. "Characters who are suspicious of an object, effect or creature may take an action to disbelieve it. The character makes a Disbelieve check against the Disbelieve target number for the illusion. If t...

Re: 200 Universal Church sects/orders

In addition the Urth Orthodox, Eskatonics and Avestites; the Emperor of the Fading Suns also had Sanctuary Aeon and the Incarnates.

Did either order actually make it into the RPG or is now the perfect time for someone to make them up?

Re: Cards for helping the game

Hmmmm, cards... that have spell effects written on them and are meant for use in a game..... Aren't they considered to be Odious unto Humanity and possession of such cards punishable by burning in the holy fire of the flame cannons of the Inquisition? .... or is it only CCG's that are consid...

Re: A new Developer's Blog? Why yes!

Thanks. That actually makes a lot of sense and I like that change. The system from 1st and 2nd where getting a wound gave you -1 to all rolls plus (typically always) knockdown often seemed like overkill. Adding the extra threshold before the secondary knockdown affect has a chance to proc makes that...

Re: 4th Ed Canon

It's not the destruction of Vivane that was the problem. It was that they created an exactly the same environment as Parlainth. The undead migration for me too was when I thought "these guys are too lazy or too unimaginative to be allowed to take control of the narrative of a game I'm running.&...

Re: A new Developer's Blog? Why yes!

As Archer was always my favorite I spotted few things: I love the name of Waterfall Slam talent. How does it work? Waterfall Slam Step: Rank Action: Free Strain: 1 Skill Use: No The adept powers his blows with the elemental power of water, overwhelming his target with the force of rushing waves. Wh...

Re: Seeking some feedback on a possible ED4 change

I've only read the first 4 pages of this, but really people? People are actually claiming basic addition is hard when they are tired. This system is one of the easiest I've ever seen for unconsciousness in an rpg. ED is simple, you work out your your UR and DR whenever upgrade your durability and th...
