Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
So did all the hardcovers get sent out at once? I ordered through the FASA website during the Kickstarter, and I live all the way down in Australia so I hope this won't delay the delivery too much.

Re: Radio Silence ?
I just realised that today marks two years since the Kickstarter was launched, and I still don't have my hardcover copies of the PG or GMG! LMFAO! I will probably have grandchildren before I have the ED Companion, Travar, or any of the other sourcebooks that were promised

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
Thanks for the update Mataxes. After more than 1.5 years of waiting I am excited at the prospect of finally being able to thumb through hard copies of the 4th Ed books. Will I run the game for my group? Honestly? No. Please understand, I think you guys have done a good job updating the rules and I'm...

Re: Earthdawn and VTT
Our group used Maptools to play ED online for the past 3 years. Had to build all the macros from scratch, which was a steep learning curve. I can share my campaign file with you if you like H20s.

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014
Considering you won't ship my Player's Guide to me until you can ship the GM Guide, I too would like an ETA on when I'll finally be able to get my hands on physical copies.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: blood magic in ED4
The uses of Blood Magic previously mentioned have been used at our table. One player uses the +3 push when the situation is desperate and his Wizard is the only character still standing, however my other players generally don't use the option mainly because they don't want 1y1d wound or permanent ru...

Re: 4E Shield Bash question
I would rule Melee Weapons (I'm more of the opinion that shields are weapons) That's what I'm leaning towards. A shield isn't classified as a weapon, but neither is a chair and you can use Melee Weapons to wield one as an improvised weapons. We were just wondering if there was an official ruling, o...

4E Shield Bash question
The 4E Talent 'Shield Bash' says: "If the adept makes a successful close combat Attack test, he may make a Shield Bash test as a Damage test, with Physical Armor reducing the result." Does this mean if you have a shield you can use Unarmed Combat as your Attack Test for Shield Bash? It's a...

Re: Developer Blog: Creatures (Revisited)
Good stuff Mataxes! Format is better. Makes it easier to find stats at a glance (especially Attribute Steps - top to bottom works better IMO). Creature specific Combat Options are a great addition! Utilizing extra attack successes in different ways gives combat more flavour, and offers fighters a fe...

Fourth Edition House Rules
I assume by now a lot of us GMs have run a few games of 4E and found some rough spots that needed to be smoothed over with a house rule or two. I've only brought one in so far, and it's really just a tweaked version of an old official rule - lowering Mystic Defense. In 4E spellcasters can no longer ...
