Re: Discipline Update of The Wanderer's Way and The Way of W

General question to the masses. Why does every little twist on a class or job have to be turned into a new discipline? Mountebank? Snake Oil salesman as a discipline? Wouldn't an Illusionist or Thief or any other Namegiver regardless if they are even an Adept or not be perfectly capable of selling c...

Re: EDR Planned Products?

As slayride mentioned, Deadlands is a lot like Earthdawn in a western setting. I seemed to recall thinking the same thing years ago, when reading about the game. Deadlands would be a good excuse to give Savage Worlds a spin. It would be great to do some gunslingin'. If I liked it, then do some Earth...

Thanks for the breakdown. Looks like you are getting pretty good use out of the system! :)

Re: EDR Planned Products?

I always wanted to give Deadlands a try, so may be worth looking into.

Will get my "nerd dice" out, as my son calls them, and force him to play!

Re: EDR Planned Products?

Nahor, when you refer to a time when there was a vibrant relationship between the game designers and game buyers, I presume those people were moved on? Hence, the breakdown of relationship? Which leads me back to the last sentence of my last post... "I whole-heartedly agree with Crusader's stat...

Re: EDR Planned Products?

Zayven, Initially, I was reluctant to agree with you that the game needs a rule set overhaul. I guess that would mean emptying my bank account again to re-buy the game, again. I just don't want to do that. As you aptly point out, the majority of the ED community is made up of people that started wit...

Re: EDR Planned Products?

Zayven, I by no means felt like you were jumping on anyone. It just seemed like you focused on something I meant to be minor. I too had the idea that with FASA taking back the reins we would see a return to former glory. And as Mountainshadow stated "the hiatus" by FASA has been more than ...

Re: EDR Planned Products?

Zayven, what I only mentioned as an aside you have made the main point of your posts. I mentioned "Barsaive at War" because I knew that FASA had an original outline and I will never utilize anything put out by Living Room Games. I would say that the license is more than being kept alive, n...

Re: EDR Planned Products?

Can we get a hint as to what may be on the drawing boards? Are there plans for any new material? That is to say, material that has not been previously published? Back in the day, when "Prelude to War" was released; we saw the rise of the Denairastas Clan. At that time I had great hopes for...
