Re: Sereatha, Shosara and Western Kingdoms
Hello, For what it's worth (and these days that's probably not much), when we (FASA, that is) first envisioned the elven nations/lands outside of Wyrm/Blood Wood, they were most definitely NOT in the region now known as the Wastes. We never actually worked out much more detail around this, as the el...

Re: Battletech
Hello,
The people running Catalyst have far more experience with BattleTech than the current FASA Games staff. The guy in charge of BattleTech is (I believe) is Randall Bills, who worked on BattleTech at FASA back in the late 1990s.
Take Care,

Re: What constitutes horror corruption?
Hello, I'm not so sure I agree with Oofje on this. I never considered "Horror Marked" to be equal to "Horror Corruption", and while a Horror Mark certainly *could* cause a character to fail his/her Artisan Skill test, I don't think it *should* always do so. I actually think that ...

Re: Spell Balance
Hello, I just did a quick check, and it turns out that Flame Darts did NOT allow the caster to hit specific targets (in EDC). The darts affect any/all targets within the area of effect. This makes the Circle disparity between the spells a little more significant, but I'm still not convinced the Fire...

Re: Spell Balance
Hello, Just a quick FYI about the Spell Design rules in Magic: A Manual of Mystic Secrets. Those rules were reverse-engineered from the spells in the ED1 rulebook and companion. All of the effects (area effect, multiple targets, etc.), minimum circle levels, etc, are based on the idea that the origi...
