Cybernetics Lights and Flash

One of my character has been built with the Flash cybernetics implant. After looking at the table and rules, it seems that to have Flash the character needs to have Lights, first, and it suffers from a poor impagination trouble (Flash both in 2e and Player's Guide is listed immediately below Lights,...

Bharata Zho Veda (eskatonic martial art)

Bharata Zho Veda is the eskatonic martial art from Priests of the Celestial Sun, and it's the only martial arta not being back on revised edition, apparently. Since it's often a player's favorite (mystic monk hitting tsubo or pressure points? Did you say Kenshiro?) here it is how i envisioned it. St...

Grease Monkey/Crack Pilot revised and new knacks

The Engineer in my party went for Grease Monkey, and i must admit initially didnt fully read the new skill description (for those who dont have the revised manual, basically it merges all Tech Redemption skills into a single one, where your level into it tells you what kind of TL you can work with -...

Re: Languages and reading fs player's guide

The good thing, is since the system is actually so open ended, uou dont run the risk to break up the system doing such changes... And anyway, vorox apart, still i have to see someone asking for a bow or a crossbow. Oh, well, maybe after seeing Hawkeye and the girl from Hunger Games (very FS btw), so...

Re: Languages and reading fs player's guide

Peasants reading: This is a culture thing, really. In the Protestant West, peasants were routinely literate (enough to read the Bible) from TL2 times onwards. And there's a FS planet that I just read about (can't remember which as I have been reading a lot of the Imp. Surveys lately) where even pea...

Re: Languages and reading fs player's guide

I dont like peasants to be able to read, so i assume only player characters automatically can do it. Being a skill and points based system i really dont need to detail all the npc character sheet, so i assume they can do what i need them to do, without doing any kind of countability. Maybe just for ...

Re: Fading Suns Player's Guide (Revised Edition)

something else that probably the editor missed. Grease Monkey blessing still reference to multiple specialization for Tech Redemption. The blessing should cost 2 now, rather than 4, since it applies everytime to a single skill... and effectively allows characters to start with 10 on it rather than 8...

Re: Combat Modifiers Chart - Revised Player's Guide

oh, well, i believe that in the old times i always played with somewhat house ruled version of the game i was currently playing (i think never played AD&D straight out of the book), so i have no problem house ruling with a loose system such a VPS. what bothers me, it seems simply that the rules ...

Re: Languages and reading fs player's guide

Hei Gannok, listening to the developer it seems they changed the rule in Revised Edition. it's fun thinking how it developed. 1st edition you had to buy levels from 1 to 9 for each language and to read it. 2nd edition you had to buy speak and read separately, and now they're merged. it seems, lookin...
