Re: Wizard's Cloak

Yeah, 6 plus corruption is technically a Spell Defense, sure, but the Spell Defense of Astral Space, not the SpD of the Cloaked Wizard. Hm. But yeah, might as well allow cloak to avoid Imprint detection too, given that you stay physically visible (and most hack and slashable threats would probably b...

Re: Momentum Attack vs Second Attack

It means the one immediately before, so you can do the above. In other words: Any attack XY with a Good Result allows you to use MA directly after you resolved attack XY, but only once per round. (Except for the ones that disallow it explicitly, such as Frenzy IIRC.) Thanks for clearing that up. :)...

Re: Momentum Attack vs Second Attack

standard action melee weapons attack While going through talents for another thread, I looked this up, and it notably does not say this. It just uses "first" and "previous", vague terms which may as well just indicate the "good first, momentum right after" timing relat...

Re: Wizard's Cloak

So here we go. Alot of marginal things that get protected against (since scrying in general isn't very widespread in ED), but some useful things too. Certainly alot more than I would have suspected offhand. Huh. Ze List of Wizard Cloakable things Spells all Astral Sensing stuff (Sight, Sense, Detect...

Re: Wizard's Cloak

So for example, with Astral Sight, it would not make your sheer presence harder to detect (flat diff 6+ to see astral imprints), but would make it harder to detect your pattern to analyze for details? What else detection-wise even rolls vs Spell Defense? Most I can think of offhand rolls vs Percepti...

Re: Momentum Attack vs Second Attack

"initial" is synonym for the aforementioned "first" attack. All the talk of first and second (or whatever you may call it) simply serves to explain you got to make the Momentum Attack directly following the attack that allowed it. For example, you CAN'T: 1. Melee Weapons with Go...

Re: Momentum Attack vs Second Attack

That's not how I read it, I guess I interpret 'initial' differently, and goes against the "This talent can only be used once per round" language. Any clarification from the devs? "Initial" could be interpreted either way I guess. Technically it would seem to your regular standar...

Re: Momentum Attack vs Second Attack

SA does require Karma, but this is not an absolute requirement if it is a Discipline Talent, which it normally will be. But that (= being worthless as a talent option) *is* a major balancing point / downside to SA, you need to look at talents in isolation, not as part of a Discipline, to compare th...
