ED3 Wind Catcher Talent
Hmm guess I'll try another question. This time it is the Wind Catcher Talent. This is supposedly for "when falling from a height, the adept controls his descent by making a WInd Catcher Test". However this is a standard action so how does this work? Is it I am about to jump off this cliff ...

ED3 Summoning Spell timelines
Happily as the forums still appear to be active time to start asking some more questions :-) Lets talk summoning spells. I recall discussions on the old forums about summoning spirits or elementals and how after summoning you had to successfully talk to them before they would do things (chewing up v...

Re: Lifesight
Yeah, this gets into Astral Targeting (and the idea that there is corruption everywhere giving at least a +2 difficulty, or more, to all Perception based tests unless in a 'Safe' area). I'll look at my notes. Hmm I hadn't thought of that. OK of the 2 scenarios a) lifesight (the original question) w...

Re: Lifesight
The guards in the guard room are in Complete Cover, therefore you can't make an attack against them (the Spellcasting Test is an attack). Hmm could you expound on that, I am thinking if your lifesight or Astral vision is seeing through the stone wall they have no cover at all. Completely and clearl...

Lifesight
Gees there haven't been any posts for a while... As usual I have stacks of questions just too lazy to ask so might as well throw one out and see if anyone is still reading (now after remembering my password after at least 6 go's) :D OK Nethermancer 6th circle Discipline Tale Lifesight. Whats so good...

Re: Wizards Cloak?Invisibility,silence&deoderant rolled into
True but remember on the old forum I conducted a little survey? 75% of people on the forums had never got a character to Circle 5 I think I recall so figure it may be quite sometime before 500LP, 400SP and a week to find someone to teach me the spell is going to be a throw away investment. Our group...

Re: Wizards Cloak?Invisibility,silence&deoderant rolled into
Hey thanks for that, as I originally thought protects against detecting but not seeing, hearing, smelling etc. I will have to revise the useless bit though if you can cast it on objects to make them not detectable still has some use but within our campaign not worth the LP & SP to me (I'd ...

Wizards Cloak?Invisibility,silence&deoderant rolled into one
Hi I had dismissed the Wizards Cloak spell as being useless (only protects you from detection spells and abilities for a few minutes). However I then reread it and now am not so sure. How do people play its effects? Does it just protect you from magical detection or does it also mask your physical p...

Re: Stacking Armour Buffs from DIfferent Sources
Basically, stacking bonuses is what you do to get by starting at Journeyman Level, and it was a part of Discipline design to allow such stacking bonuses.. Hmm just wanted to check this, think I saw it somewhere but your comment made me wonder. If you have 2 disciplines (eg Wizard & Nethermancer...

Stacking Armour Buffs from DIfferent Sources
Hi just checking if people think Air Armour and Mage Armour stack? Mage armour says "spell enhances the toughness and resilience of armor" while air armour says "This spell creates a protective cushion of air. ..If successful, air rushes in under the target’s clothing, pushing outward...
