Re: Giving Ground

Admitedly, I have sometimes granted a free hack against certain opponents/PCs who don't tactically withdraw from combat - IE: Flee! Most significant cases were those that involved Social Defence targeted talents/spells/powers - IE: causing the target to haveoverwhelming urges to flee (fear abilities...

Re: That 1st Ed Map

Re: Earthdawn Miniatures KickStarter - now live until Oct. 3

OOoooo Squeee! Earthdawn miniature resurrection without resorting to nethermancy! :D Heh, been a while since I saw the originals waaaaaaaaaay back with the 1st Ed days of yore. I too loved the Shadowmant, and wasn't there also one of the human musician and his lizard beast/pet on a pedestal/pillar (...

Re: Giving Ground

Hasn't been as commonly utilised as Defensive Stance or the preferred Aggressive Attack by my players, but some have used it. Generally, the ones with more tactical acumen or who are playing swordmasters - many of whom have LARPed, so there;s some real experience of reality in their character action...

Re: Adepts

All valid viewpoints. If you want a more practical terminology, then the Shadowrun/Sixth World concept of being genetically encoded with the ability to harness the world's magical energies (mana) determines your potential adept power level from birth. The individual abilities/talents and capabilitie...

Re: Adepts

Spontaneous initiations are usually matters of survival - the Name-giver is placed in a situation whereupon they undergo the mental readjustment necessary to utilise the magial forces of the world in a way that hekps them survive. Beastmasters and Thief adepts often manifest their abilities this way...
