Re: Couple Questions
How long it takes is a gaming style preference. Things I take into consideration are how often you actually game versus how often you want the party to actually have an adventure. I once ran a campaign to 9th circle that took roughly 3 to 4 years game time and about 3 years real time. Averaging abou...

Re: [ED4] Sprint
Did not notice that in the example. So it looks like it got dropped from the description, probably in the editing phase, of the talent and should indicate the limit is your move rate.

Re: Booster and healing potions
It only immediately grants it if your out of recovery tests. Otherwise I agree with you. As far as stepping on fireblood I would think the cost alone would be prohibitive and keep it from stepping on fire bloods toes. My thinking is if you do not have an elemetalist there are limited ways to heal in...

Re: Forge Weapon / Dispel Magic
This seems exceptionally harsh. I am not arguing against it. However, it is one of those things that benefits the NPCs more. There are countless NPCs if they cast it on a pc it is a loss of resources and takes a while to recover from. If the pcs use it then defeat the npc they just cost themselves l...

Booster and healing potions
The way these work is you drink the potion and it adds to your next recovery test over the next 24 hours. It does not provide the immediate use of a personal recovery test. A healing potion allows you to roll 2d6 immediately if you have no recovery tests left. It also instantly heals a wound. Has an...

Re: [ED4] Sprint
I thought gliding stride max on any distance was your movement rate but there is nothing in the text that states this. I must be remembering a previous edition. I think though it would be a good limiter to keep the talent in check.

Re: [ED4] GM's Guide preview feedback
I have a question about a couple of powers for spirits and dragons Enrage Element works in that you roll enrage element and everyone within the effect takes this damage and is harried. There is no to hit roll against PD or MD. I would think there has to be some roll to hit like spellcasting. Dragon ...

Re: 4E Shield Bash question
Looking at it further though Your interpretation does make sense as it is listed as a simple action whereas crushing blow, down strike, and surprise strike are listed as a free action. In previous editions crushing blow was considered a damage test. Maybe that has changed from previous editions or s...

Re: 4E Shield Bash question
Actually shield bash is just a damage test which is why it is listed as a simple action. It must be used with an actual Attack action and the attack follows its rules as to what type of action it is. A melee attack would be a standard action, a second attack and second weapon would be simple actions...

Re: [Ed4] Player's Guide Feedback
I would not necessarily call it free given how much legend they have to sink into summoning. I do not disagree that charisma should serve some role in summoning. I just think the way they have it is fine. You summon the spirit. Your successes determine the duration. Then you use spirit talk/elementa...
