Re: Ceremony to become Questing Knight

A huge crowd of new questing knights and their companions to recite a final oath/pledge led by the big guy before they are off on their first mission. Probably...

Starting Adventures
I have been considering how to start a FS game and while the books and setting led themselves to open world style gaming I would like to start all of us new people to FS (the entire gaming group including me) with some more or less pre-made adventures and was wondering what your alls suggestions wou...

Re: Campaign starting with steps
From what I recall of the character building section they have more or less used the same 'points' for the life path as point by system. If I am recalling correctly you should be able to work out how many points they didn't use when you stopped early to do the prologue (part 2) and then just put tha...

So, odd segue but I've been playing in a RT game recently and the stat as target roll under mechanic is similar to FS, just percentile instead of a d20. What we have noticed in our RT game is that it has made doing anything outside of your specialties early on very rough, with players way more likel...

Re: Age of consent/legal marriage in the Known Worlds
As a rule of thumb I would go with what ever age is socially acceptable to your group of players.

Re: Growing old with Antigathics
That is an interesting thought Holz. If it is based on importance and position there may be some that don't want it anymore. Meeting the ancient knight of the fief/planet who's kept alive because he's the last of his line to maintain the treaty. Once he dies everything may well explode again for the...

Re: How to introduce the FS universe to newbies
I'll be having the same inssue in the not too distant future. I did come across an older free intro pdf. If you remove the last bit where it gets in to the basics of the rules and character creation it is a quick and dirty primer that may work.

Books in my LGS
I was able to pick up the players and gm's guide at my local game store but they are unable to track down the new Criticorum book. Has it gone out to any distributors is only available online?
