RPE announcement

Over on TMP, Ral Partha Europe has just announced that they will be handling the Noble Armada miniatures range from now on - indeed, a selection of Hawkwood and Decados ships are already listed on their online store. I'd be curious to see if they will later include any of Mongoose's own designs from...

Re: [Moved] Noble Armada

Hey folks, please forgive me if my information is out of date (haven't touched FS since 1ED, and NA for almost as long), but having read Nerroth's previous post. It would seem to me that this collaboration to produce a new NA would be a perfect place to create a companion book for both FS and NA co...

Re: Noble Armada

Thanks for the heads-up.

So, could it be possible to have this thread to the new NA sub-forum, if it isn't too much trouble?

Re: Noble Armada

I'm not sure about the older casts, but some of the new ships published in Fleets of the Fading Suns (book 2 for A Call to Arms: Noble Armada ) had moulds created by Mongoose using 3D CAD models, such as the sample designs shown here . (I don't know how many of those units existed in Holistic's own ...

Re: Noble Armada

There was something else I wanted to ask about, if I may. If/when the time comes for NA3 to get up and running, is the plan to encourage people to use the minis currently being published by Mongoose for ACtA:NA ? Or would FASA Games intend to cast and sell their own starship miniatures instead? I so...

Re: Noble Armada

Thanks for dropping in to say as much. If I may ask, would you (as Fading Suns Line Developer) also act as Noble Armada Line Developer by default (were it to come to that); or is it possible that NA3 might be split off into its own category as and when the time comes? Or to put it another way, are y...

Re: Lost Worlds sourcebook question

How much work do the older modules need in order to be compatible with FSR ? For example, both Star Crusade and Lost Worlds are among the list of PDFs available under Holistic's Fading Suns category on DTRPG . (That's where I was able to get those files, after having been exposed to the setting via ...

Re: Noble Armada

Understood. At this point, I was most keen on clarifying whether or not NA3 was still a possibility for future development. If it gets its turn some day, I'm sure there'll be plenty of discussions then as to what it should look like, and what comparisons one might, or ought to, make with its sister ...

Re: Lost Worlds sourcebook question

One could group them into "enemies without", "enemies below", and "enemies within". "Without" would cover the external factors - Hazat/Kurga, Imperial/Symbiot, Li Halan/Vau, Hawkwood/Vuldrok, and so forth. (Maybe the Merchant League could be tied to the "...

Re: Lost Worlds sourcebook question

Ultimately, I would argue that the Barbarian jumpweb is more than worth exploring in its own right, akin to how it was treated in Star Crusade and Lost Worlds . But the above idea was more to try and help if the barbarian realms would otherwise have to wait until after the Phoenix Empire was fleshed...
