Re: [3ED] Tracking, Evidence Analysis and Experience Death

Tracking Our scout wanted to follow a group that left particular house. It was raining but despite some trouble our Scout were able to spot some tracks. I didn't use Perception Test for spotting tracks, just Tracking result high enough to achieve Excellent Result. After following tracks they found ...

Re: Interest in ED1 Products

Hey Lou! Just out of curiosity, what have you got from the Japanese translations? Did a lot of ED1 books got translated? It's really interesting, I've seen some photos of the main book on the Internet, but there wasn't much information about other books. It looked though that the Japanese see the Ea...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

Another question here. Can an additional thread (Additional Threads p. 282) be placed in an Enhanced Matrix? There is nothing about it in the book (or I just missed it), but for me as a GM it seems quite logical that it should be allowed. What is the official version? Have you thought about it creat...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

So, checking the preview vs 3rd edition, Longbows have range increments of 40/80 yards in both editions. Checking quickly through the 3rd ed spells chapter, most of the classic attack spells (Blizzard Sphere, Fireball, Razor Orb, etc) have ranges from 40-50 yards. Some notable spells like Leaping L...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

Thanks for the answer about the Create Projectile ability. And now for something completely different... I know it has been already talked about, but I somehow missed it, "the gummi bear problem", I mean having the Great Leap talent as a skill. I also think it's a little overpowered. And i...

Re: Pre-art draft feedback

That was actually my question, Kosmit, don't steal ;)

Anyway I was wondering if you have created that ability having specific projectiles in mind, or is there a place for interpretation for GMs (I would even like it, I always liked rules that allow some interpretation).

Re: Art preview!

@Sundahk I don't think it's an obsidiman. It doesn't look like an obsidiman. It has ears. It has sharp teeth. The arm pad looks too agressive, more like troll-made or ork-made. I first thought it was a troll, but there are no horns too. And for an orc it's too big and "square-shaped" (Warc...

Re: ED4 Preview #2

I really like what I read. Beastmasters needed these changes. But I'm still not convinced by the previous Preview. Especially with the effect of getting rid of Armor-Defeating Hits in battles where monsters/horrors/dragons have 25+ Armor. How is the new option with +2 Damage per success going to cop...

Re: Earthdawn: Fourth Edition coming in 2014

I'm all in favor of slaughtering sacred cows! I agree that this is a great time to do an honest reassessment of the game system as a whole. Earthdawn's system was innovative and unique when the game came out, but that was 20 years ago. A LOT has happened in the world of game design since then. Most...
