Re: Opinion Piece on the 4th Edition Book size.
In my city I have 4 Game stores (not book stores, actual game stores) within 20 minutes drive of each other, and another 4 if I want to drive an hour in various directions. When third edition was out 2 of the stores in my city carried the whole line, when the PDFs were being sold before the stores c...

Opinion Piece on the 4th Edition Book size.
First save yourself some time and do not read this. As it stands now, 1/21/2014 , the 4th edition books will be digest size / perfect bound just like the previously released books for Earthdawn Revised. I have not contributed to the Earthdawn 4th Edition Kickstarter for exactly this reason. I found...

Re: Kickstarter!
Forgive me if I am a little cautious of blind surveys, I am pretty sure they did the same thing a few years ago and ignored the result. In this case the result is hidden and nobody sees it, so the result is whatever they say it will be. The link you post shows up in the comments page, rather than on...

Re: Kickstarter!
I am very happy to hear the ED4 is now a go. I had even contemplated tossing monies for the kick starter, but then I saw this... As of right now, the plan is the for the books to be digest-sized (about 9" x 6"). Black & white interior, color cover. This makes me sad. I spent time writi...

Re: Teaching Talents as Skills
Hey guys, So the question came up -- Can a PC with, say, the Melee Weapons Talent teach it to another character as a Skill? When asked this, I originally gave the answer no, as a Talent represents mystical and magical means. It would be akin to someone speaking German to someone who does not, and t...

Re: ED3 - Named Spells and Items
In my Barsaive: If a player wishes to enchant an item using a named spell then they must go through the spell creation process. For every named spell. the reason I make them do this is because each named spell is unique, its astral signature is unique and it is a Pattern Item of the character becaus...

Warning Spoilers for The Longing Ring
Quoted from The Longing Ring when J'role elected to learn a discipline. J'role knelt down beside Garlthik grabbed the ork's arm and shook it. "No, no. I can't do it alone, and boy, you're just not ready." An idea came to J'role. He pointed first to Garlthik and then to himself, over and ov...
