Wow. I'm surprised it has never come up before. I would think that some spells like Ice Mace and Chain just would not work because the magician is actually throwing something. The water would basically be like a lot of physical armor. But I would agree that many spells like Astral Spear and Spirit D...

My players are coming up on the end of the Blades module and I was wondering what effect water has on things like Astral Spear, Ephemeral Bolt and other such spells well as arrows from an Archer. Any good rules of thumb out there?

Thanks arma. That makes sense and is how I had been doing it for years. But, it does make me ask why, for example, the Cheetah has only one action but 2 X Claws.

This may have been answered on the old forms, but... Page 148 of the Gamemaster's Guide reads 'a notation showing "2 x Claws" indicates the creature may make up to 2 separate Claw attacks'. Does that mean that if the creature had two actions and "2 X Claws" they could then make f...
