Re: Earthdawn: Age of Legend

The Freeform/Universal rules system has been around for a while and was not created by Vagrant Workshop... it just happens to be a good set of rules for the style of play that was being investigated.

I admit that the name of the system seemed a bit odd to me at first :)

Re: Karma In the Fourth Edition

Hrrrrm. A little Google tells me that maybe I drew that conclusion from some Shadowrun source material which is, I know, not canonical for purposes of our discussions of Earthdawn. Carry on... nothing to see here...

Re: Karma In the Fourth Edition

So my question is this: Can a windling archer spend karma on Astral Sight (a PER sight based ability) because of the first circle ability? I don't have my books with me, but I wanted to throw this out there... I am fairly certain that astral sight is not actually sight-based. It has "sight&quo...

Re: Let's Talk About Forge

Question about notation... So if I have a broadsword (dmg step 5) and I forge it twice, do game materials record its damage as (step 7) or (step 5+2)? I think historically it would have been recorded as (Step 7, Forged twice), which tells me everything I need to know but is a bit wordy for a pretty ...

Re: Questions about Travar, Elven Nations, Questors, & Metap

Regarding Elven Nations: Is there unrest in the elven nations? Is there brewing conflict with the Blood Wood? Do the rules of the elven nations wish to reclaim the Elven Court? Do they hope to heal the Blood Wood? Hi Lou! For those that do not know, I am the writer on the evolved Elven Nations proj...

Re: ED3 Journeyperson & Karma

Actually, my reading of the Journeymen rules (not worth any more than anyone else's, admittedly)... Karma *is* largely useless to a Journeyman until 4th and 5th Circle. The rules Anunnaki cited above refer to selecting Discipline talents for the purposes of advancement only--not for the purposes of ...

Re: Best adventure

Third Edition sort of disregards Second Edition--so it isn't that the material from LRG's 2nd Edition isn't useful, it just doesn't get referenced. There are also some mechanical differences, as happens between any editions of a game line, but those are easily overcome. The big stumbling block is th...

Re: Earthdawn noob questions

But you have to remember, many kaers were quite large, with fields and simulated sun (by massive light quartz) and more. A kaer is more of an underground city (or even village) than a classic dungeon, especially in the inhabited parts. What leads from the surface to the habitation areas, THAT's a du...

Re: Earthdawn: Feedback (For ED Team)

First of all thank you for your feedback! One of the things I love about Earthdawn is that I know the developers see, read, listen, and consider all of this feedback very seriously. What follows are my reactions to your suggestions, and they are certainly not the opinions of the entire team! I'm jus...

Re: Shadowrun Dragons

YET!

(Darts into the shadows to get back to working on... well... you know. Elven stuff of Nationsal importance...)

That worked better without the intentional misspelling, but... bah. It's an off day, what can I say...
