Re: Developer Blog: Creatures (Revisited)
I like it -- a great format that is easy to read and use in game. While I understand with the 'more of the same' sentiment in general, I like the idea of updating former editions' creatures to 4th edition. I'm not sure any of my groups ever wants to see another Cave Crab; the one-armed T'Skrang Swor...

Re: Success Levels and Additional Threads [Nerd Alert]
... said stuff ... That is an awesome idea. I haven't needed it for Earthdawn in the past, but I think it's a great idea for me (trying to learn the 4th Ed idiosyncrasies) and for new players (to focus on what they have and not a book)! Strangely, to this day I still have my 2nd Edition AD&D sp...

Re: Review of Eathdawn 4th Edition
I accidentally took part in the Legion of Myth Live stream yesterday. It was a strange episode -- Murphy invoke his Law in spades until it got up and running -- but it was good. Anyway, we specifically discuss my Earthdawn 4th Edition review before breaking into some nostalgic Earthdawn memories. If...

Re: How do you feel about characters with multiple disciplin
That's a good story, yes. In that case the character can be Re-Named, altering the Core Pattern. That would be a true new beginning.
My books are packed now, but I think it's even called the Renaming Ritual, or maybe just Naming Ritual and able to be used for Renaming.

Re: Fourth Edition House Rules
I understand your concern, and It is certainly more the latter than the former. *IF* I were to do the former it would be intentional, and most likely the player wouldn't know he had a Thread item. I'm already an unforgiving GM, I don't need to make fools of the players or tease them. Then again, it ...

Re: Fourth Edition House Rules
I saw this on your review and it doesn't really answer my question. It usually takes months of research to find the Thread Knowledges of Thread Weapons. In the off chance they get the knowledge before they hit Fourth Circle, why punish them? I don't believe it's punishing a player to make them wait...

Re: Fourth Edition House Rules
The simple answer is that my groups traditionally believe in growing into your character over time. We don’t like everything handed to us out of the gate. The longer answer goes more like this … If you’re given everything right away where’s the sense of journey? The first three Circles go by pretty ...

Re: Fourth Edition House Rules
I can’t officially say that we have 4th Edition house rules, as we’re not even considering playing a long term game until I get settled in my new home, but there are some we have discussed in both concept and play testing. While our house rules affect the mechanics of the game, most of our house rul...

Re: Disciplines: Archer
For just a second let's say it doesn't matter if what he did isn't 100% legit in the real world. (Personally, I couldn't care less either way.) When you put it in the context of an Archer Adept using magical Talents I think it's a pretty good view of what one could do as a Disciplined Adept. Now, if...
