Re: horror marks
thanks! Telarus, i appreciate ur helpfulness, but I would like to skip this whole "every horror is different" topic. I don’t think we should skip it because you are asking for other people to make a rules call for you and help you understand them. It’s important to the discussion because ...

Re: horror marks
I don't know there is an actual limit to the number of Horror marks, but there would certainly be some limiting factors. First the Horror needs to see you to mark you. Second it needs to overcome your spell defence (not difficult for a powerful Horror, but still). Third A Horror mark only last for a...

Re: Earthdawn Miniatures - KickStarter - advice requested
It might be better to call the undead 'Cadaver Men' as that's what they look like they are supposed to be, I think?

Re: Pre-art draft feedback
Just noticed this, which while not technically incorrect, it is very misleading. Mist Swamps - Page 518 Chapter 16 At its mouth, the Serpent River slows and spreads, and as it gets closer to the volcanic heat of Death’s Sea , the air grows humid and filled with steam. Would this not read better as A...

Re: Developer's Blog 7/25/2014
I've read several of the Game of Throne books and watched most of the first series, even visited some of the movie sets. Nothing I seen in the artwork reminded me of GoT. Lord of the Rings, maybe a bit, but the tree isn't really that entish. The Questor in the foreground would have made the cover fo...

Re: 4th Ed Canon
I’m going to agree that destroying a part of Barsaive that had its own boxed set was likely to earn the ire of most of those that purchased it regardless of how well FASA explained it or despite having low sales figures. I have the boxed set but have never used it so I wasn’t so annoyed. I going to ...

Re: Art preview!
Another option would have been to have a Horror in there somewhere, perhaps looming In the background or replacing the dragon.

Re: Art preview!
As Sundahk has said the quality of the artwork is great. I’ve previously stated I don’t like the new Earthdawn logo, the quality or design of it, so was a bit worried about how the rest of the art direction might go, but this makes me feel a whole lot better. I do agree it might not shine as the pro...

Re: GM's Guide -- Anything you would like to see?
I'm going to third the insanity/psychological aspect of dealing with Horrors. There seems to be plenty of Horror Scarred Madmen running about, but no rules. This could add a new layer of grittiness to the game. I thought the traps section was quite good in the rule book as it stood. However, I guess...

Re: Windlings and cloaks
I always assumed that Windling flight was mostly fueled by magic, not physics. I thought the same until I re-read the part about windling flight, then It didn't sound all that magical, to me at least. Not their primary mode of transport, can only fly short periods before having to take a toughness ...
