Interesting mix of Mages and technicians - the goggles requirement feels almost like Brassman verging into Heron. I like the Raven swooping down to translate. Does the Raven also offer sarcastic commentary?

I based the goggle use off other lodges use of items to lessen the strain.

As for the raven, it has not yet. It translates what the caster and target says for the duration of the casting.

Sorry, I had a Vincent Price flashback there, to the opening scene of "The Raven", where Price's character asks the raven that's just flown in his window, will I ever see my lost Lenore? And the raven, in Peter Lorre's voice, says, How the hell should I know?

The other part is they are really just developing everything. So I kind of imagine that what spells I have listed is the extent of their collective spell books at the moment. So if you utilize them and someone comes up with something more, feel free to add.

With the Cartographers not being a Tradition, but a group of people who have a similar mind set being put together after discovering their casting ability, their spell pool is fairly limited. Most everyone brought something to the table, that spell that just came to them when they changed. Most of the Caster group were something before their ability awakened.

The Botanist that the plants grappled when he startled himself. The linguist being surprised by a raven translating everything both parties said in a stressful talk. The willful veteran explorer knocking someone out with an angry thought. They sought to understand what was going on, and in turn learned useful things from others. They don't exactly have a uniform style as of yet, but a lot of their core being is the desire to know. They pursue knowledge in all its various forms. The flora and fauna, lay of the land, what is over the next horizon. Some are tempered with the desire to share the knowledge, and the perceived glory that goes with that.
