Awareness on half-magic + karma

As an Elementalist I have for half-magic the ability to detect Elemental Spirit (p.96)

It says that it is a perception-based test.

My question is: Can I use Awareness instead of using only my perception step?

Therefore can I use Karma since Awareness is one of Elementalist?

If you can give the pages where you found your infos. I'll need this to prove it to my DM

My guess would be no. The player's page 81 states:

When you make a Half-Magic test, the gamemaster determines the Attribute most appropriate for the action the character wishes to accomplish.

thus only an Attribute could be used for Half-magic. This would be, of course, up to the GM ultimately.

Remember that any Half-magic test is Attribute+Circle, not just Attribute, and you can use Karma on Half-magic rolls (last line on page 81 of the Player's Guide: "Adepts may spend a Karma Point on Half-magic tests").

That said, I wouldn't have an issue with the Elementalist rolling Awareness instead of their normal Perception+Circle Half-magic test.
