Hawkwood

A sampling of my Hawkwood fleet. Though they are my favorite to play, I have never been satisfied with the way they come out. Most miniatures are in various states of being painted. These are the only ones I'm half way happy with.

Nice! Those bases are already perfect for this edition too! I got busy this weekend and didn't get a chance to post some pictures but I think Hawkwood is currently my second favorite fleet as I like firing lots of missiles at things. Hazat is fun though because of cheap galliots. :)

I'm intrigued. Sounds like v3 is quite different than ACTA. There the Hazat had the best, but most expensive galliots. I expect the mechanics for missiles to be quite different as well.

I was curious about the bases. If I remember, RAL partha sells the hex bases. ACTA used the circle kind. Which is better for v3?

Circle is definitely better. I've got word in with Ral Partha that we need to see if we can swap out bases at some point. I've been using squares as well since I had a ton of extra from another project and those work pretty good until a few ships get into a jam.

Yeah, I went a slightly different route borrowing from Fading Suns where Hazat are more militaristic so have many more ground troops and marines than galliots they can field. Their galliots are slow, but cheap so when played they have the feel of using more troops to do things.
