I can't seem to find anywhere were it actually states how far it is from Shosara to Blood Wood , or Shosara to Throal. Did I miss it?

Shosara in in Northern Russia in the White sea roughly where Letnjaja Zolotica lies and Barsaivre is roughly where Ukraine stands. With that in mind you should be able to guesstimate the distance with Google map.

There it is:

https://www.google.ca/maps/dir/Chernoby ... 795135!5i2

Thus 2445 km between the heart of Blood Wood and Shossara = 1520 miles therefore 34 days on horses, 61 days walking.

Have fun.

Actually just 2060 km if you calculate by walking, instead of by car.
So just over a month if you walk around 12h a day

I thought there was not a 1:1 correlation between RW miles and Barsaivian miles.

Maybe, I'm honestly not sure if there is an exact corrolation for it, which is why I simply indicated where it lies and allow OP to figure out how many days of travel it equates to.

Thanks everyone I wasn't sure if 4th edition moved it or if it was in the same spot as the Thera book showed it. Good information to have.

Well, the Theran book never showed where Shosarra was beside a vague arrow pointing north. I really hated that because making that crayon map just a few inches 'taller' would have gotten rid of that 'decade long mystery. 'The 'surrounded by the sea on all 3 sides' made me seriously consider that peninsula as a possible point for it but it could also have been located at the kola peninsula.

Many people expected it to be in Arkhangelsk although it would have been contrary to the 'boarded on all thee sides by the see.

In my opinion, the southern edge of the Blood Wood (Kaer Eidolon) is where Ninzhy Novgorod is on our modern maps (on the Volga/Serpent River), which means the often cited "Chernobyl = Blood Wood" claim falls apart. I also have issues with the map as presented in Elven Kingdoms but those are minor & it is actually a great in-settinh artifact...
