Awareness and finding traps

Post by Michael » Thu Sep 12, 2019 5:36 pm

So at the end of the Awareness Talent description, it says
If the adept possess the Disarm Trap talent or skill, he may use this to find traps and wards.

So am I to take it that if you don't have the disarm trap talent, you can't spot traps?

thanks

Who needs to spot traps? We have a Swordmaster with Danger Sense

That is the RaW. Of course a GM is permitted to improvise. If a person without Disarm Traps made an awareness or perception test that had 2 or 3 successes against the traps detection difficulty, I might have them spot something as being not right.

so been thinking about it and these traps were designed to be used against the horrors so I can see why regular untrained adepts with awareness wouldn't know what to look for
