I searched for a satisfactory answer but didn't find one.
Shield Bash Talent
1) Is it a like an extra attack since its a simple action? Or the simple action is only the damage roll? Do you need to spend an action on an attack?
2) Knockdown tests usually don't do damage... does Shield Bash do actual damage? What is the big advantage?
3 ) In normal knockdown tests (not shield bash) do we add weapon step to the damage roll?

Re: Shield Bash confusion
To summarize to the best of my ability:
1) Shield Bash is a Damage Replacement Talent with an additional effect of forcing a knockdown test. It doesn't provide an additional attack.
2) Shield Bash definitely does damage.
3)
a) There is the Attack to Knockdown option, which inflicts no damage. You still make a damage roll with your weapon, but it only establishes the TN for the knockdown test. The target must make a Knockdown Test.
b) If you suffer any kind of damage that beats your Wound Threshold by 5 or more, make a Knockdown test against the amount by which the damage exceeded the Wound Threshold.

Re: Shield Bash confusion
If the Shield Bash causes a Wound, do I make one Knockdown Test or two?
Re: Shield Bash confusion
Just one test, but thanks to talent ability you dont substract targets Wound Threshold from difficulty number for Knockdown test.
Re: Shield Bash confusion
So Shield Bash damage is based solely on your Str + Ranks? Maybe some karma...
