How do you resolving adding Karma to tests. Do you add it before or after You roll. Rules do not specified this altough Archer's talent True Shot force you to decide before you roll.

Re: Adding Karma
1st Edition through to 4th Edition I’ve always taken the rules to mean you roll all the dice together. It shouldn’t make a difference to the outcome of the test if you roll the karma separately other than taking longer.
The text doesn’t seem to spell this out, but many of the examples suggest this is the case.
“Helena may spend a Karma Point and roll a Karma Die with the Damage test enhanced by Charge”

Re: Adding Karma
Decide beforehand, unless the ability specifically allows you to spend more after rolling (True Shot, etc).
Re: Adding Karma
At our table we allow the karma dice to be rolled afterwards. The reasoning behind it could be that the Passions or the magical nature of adepts warp fate in their favor.
Re: Adding Karma
All at the same time.
I think the rule of one requires all the dice to be a 1, so Karma is a kind of insurance against it.

Re: Adding Karma
I supose i uncorrectly phrase my question. Sorry for that. It should be: Can i decide to add karma after i saw my score.1st Edition through to 4th Edition I’ve always taken the rules to mean you roll all the dice together. It shouldn’t make a difference to the outcome of the test if you roll the karma separately other than taking longer.
Re: Adding Karma
The intention is that you must decide to spend Karma before you roll the dice (and know the result), and the Karma die is rolled with (and added into) the total.
If your table wants to allow Karma after the roll, it shouldn't break anything. (Though it might alter the karma point economy.) As long as the table agrees and is consistent, have fun.

Re: Adding Karma
I remember in previous editions, we were allowed to roll, then consider spending Karma before we knew the result succeeded or not.
It was fun, but it's certainly faster to roll them all at once.
