for Earth Skin i make a Earth Skin Test against the mystic defence. But which mystic defence, the „Natural“ or the „effective“ mystic defence (ED Companion, p.45)?

Hi, if not other mentioned, it is always the "effective" mystic defense.

given the duration, you probably have time to remove a lot of things that would otherwise boost your MD, though.
