Is there a maximum option talent I can take?

If as a journeyman I buy a new talent from the novice talent option pool. Is it a new novice talent or a journeyman talent?

You can take options from previous tiers if you want. The cost is based on the Circle it is assigned to.

So if you're Circle 5, you can take a talent from the Novice options list as your 5th Circle option slot, but it costs the same as any other Journeyman-tier talent.

Since you can only have 1 Option Talent per circle, the theoretical limit would be whatever circle you currently have in your Discipline(s).

As for the cost, (although I cant find where it is written exactly) the cost is based on the Circle when the Talent was selected, so a Optional Talent selected by a Warden would use the progression cost of a Warden adept, non-withstanding whether the Talent was from a Novice pool or another.
