Reyis has spent all of his life inside the Kaer. Much of that time he as been aware of his nature as an adept, and his bent towards Shamanism. Unfortunately with his life inside the Kaer, most of his learning is from a mentor, or a book, as such he has a pretty good handle on the magic side of first circle, and almost no grasp on the realities of the outside world and what survival there will entail. As a Windling he as been waiting (not so) patiently for his chance to go out and experience.
