Brief Backstory:
Shel's childhood was spent in the back alleys of Throal. Her family was too big and too poor, and being the fifth child of eight she was.. largely left to her own devices. And like many in her situation, she learned to walk softly and hit hard. But the first lock she ever picked for herself was to the Library. She would often sneak in at night and read through old scrolls and tomes, until one morning when the scholars opened the doors to find a young Orc girl curled up asleep over a pile of books. They broadly agreed that anyone interested enough to teach themselves Or'zat was welcome, and when they woke her, they offered her a place to sleep in one of the back rooms in exchange for some general cleaning-up-and-helping-organize.
But now, well, now she's 12, and the World is opening up, and she wants to know what happened to her people after the last book was written - and maybe even get a book or two written about herself someday.
