I have begun my journey into the people of Barsaive. The blessings of the Passions have granted me the introduction of three of the noble adepts of Throal. The Obsidiman Elementalist Oria Stone-singer, the Illusionist Dale Corson, and the Windling Thief Mica Kestiwyr. Such a varied group of troops will grant a great deal of flexibility, we are prepared for victory.
The library sent us into the mountains to find a lost group of adepts. We made our way along the most travelled path to get closer to our destination. Even as we made our way towards the disturbance, we saw ill omens as a corrupted eagle. I listened and learned of my comrades in this travel, to better wield them in the coming battles.
Shortly thereafter we encountered a group of corrupted quadripeds. We held our position, for you must move only if there is an advantage. The enemy over extended, we moved in unison to defeat the threat with minimal effort.
We recuperated and rested for the night and then continued on. We approached our expected destination and encountered a band of adventurers, or so we assumed. Their leader, a T'skrang named T'oran advised us that they were not lost as the Library feared, however they were stretched thin. The forces they faced were greater and spread wide. Until our arrival, their plan was to spread their forces wide as well, this was not a plan for victory. T'oran asked us to take care of one nest of enemies, I inquired as to the possibility of an ambush, but it would not be possible. The plan was acceptable, we supped together and bade one another luck in the morning.
Our party came upon the cave mentioned, there were a great number of twisted beings in front. Their perception was rather lacking, as we were able to gain an advantageous position and leverage the magical talents of our magicians. We revealed ourselves, making the enemy move the battle to us on our conditions. The first wave was handled quickly, I leapt into the air and landed a great thrust onto a corrupted obsidiman. The reinforcements made the battle drag on, but our planning and positioning carried us through.
We returned to the agreed rendezvous point, to be greeted by only T'oran. I am not surprised by this, he seems the reluctant leader, and that means they were not prepared for victory.
We returned to Throal and gave our report and collected our rewards. T'oran will need to be honed further if he is to be used in the future. Oria, Dale, and Mica may prove to be great weapons in the future.
