From the Journal of Xeviouz

Retrieved my Broadsword from Makysm, he was forging it for me for better performance. It has an inscription on it now of Gladys. I like it.

My adventuring party will consist of Zil the windling Elementalist, Maksym the dwarven Weaponsmith, Willliam Carver a human scout, and U’K’talla, T’Skrang swordmaster. We are out looking for un opened Kaers. We received a leather bound map and some instructions on where to go.

We depart from Throal heading South to the foothills. THen proceed SouthWest along the foothills.
First day is uneventful. We came across some fresh Lion tracks. Our Scout, William, says it was not stalking us.
Second day nothing, same for 3, 4 and 5.
Day 6 we are heading along and come across a set of ruins. William says he sees something moving on top of a tower. As we move closer a Harpie flies towards us yelling at Maksym. He is magically effected by the taunt and gets mad. We move forward to engage the monster in combat. A second harpie appears and we engage it. We end up killing one Harpie the second, being severely injured flies off into a thicket of trees. U’K’talla has taken a wound from the Harpies, Zil is insisting on cleaning it really well because of some disease you can get from them.

After examining the ruins, we determine this must be the entrance for the Kaer. We find markings on some of the stones, a gazelle and a lion. We put some Harpie meat on the lion picture and some grass on the gazel picture and it opens a stairwell in the middle of the ruins. Stairs down.
Several traps on the way in. Fire trap, pit trap. Water trap. A Happy Person came out of some water in the hallway and attacked us. Once we began to injure the person he/it went into a rage. Zil was able to finish off the creature with an Earth Dart spell.Submerged hallways that lead to the last trick. Have to put coins in the hands of the statue to get the doors to open to the Kaer.

We open the Kaer doors, and nothing good is inside. Ruined houses, lots of debris, skeletons laying around. We see some figures shambling towards us, more of the happy guys. We close and seal the door and leave the Kaer. We rest after sealing the stairway down to the Kear. Recovery tests are made. We head back to Throal. That night while we are sleeping we are visited by a bandit who attempts to steal our map. Maksym notices him and alerts the rest of us. The bandit tries to run away and we pursue. There turns out to be 4 bandits, we fight them and end them.
Journey back to Throal is uneventful.

From the Journal of Maksym Koval

Day 1: We're heading out to find an old Kaer named Bamor for the city of the glory of Throal. I met up with the other Adepts on the job. Xevious is one of them again. Hopefully, this venture will see a better end than the last. The others are the Elementalist Zil, the Scout William and the Swordmaster U'k'talla. We acquired some starcharts, climbing gear and supplies before setting out to the mountains to the southwest. We plotted a route that will take us around the river and avoid the harsher parts of the mountains. I lent William Windgrace while we were working together.

Day 2: William spotted some lion tracks. We kept an eye out in case it decided to attack, but were undisturbed.

Day 4: We found the tower which we discovered was the entrance of Bamor. it was badly dilapidated and was home to several creatures William identified as Talking Eagles. They said some frankly hurtful things about my mother, which are too vulgar to repeat here, before we killed them. The kaer itself was guarded by a series of riddles and traps. The entrance was hidden and was only revealed when the statue of a Gazelle and Lion watching over it were 'fed' by placing food in their mouths. Beneath, there was a fire trap and a tunnel filled with water, guarded by an animated corpse. A small basin of water nearby granted us the ability to breathe water temporarily, and on the other side of the of the tunnel we found the entrance to the kaer proper, protected by a lock that was opened by placing two coins in its hands. The Kaer inside was ruined, stank of death and inhabited only by monsters. We left quickly, sealing the entrance and leaving a warning for future visitors by the door.

Day 7: As we neared Throal, we were set upon by Bandits in the night. We gave chase and when they tried to ambush us we killed them. Windgrace prover her worth admirably.
