From the field journal of Django
November 13, 2018

Rumor: A dangerous predator has been harrying the livestock on the Throalic Plains. Can you hunt it down before it threatens the fall harvest?

Clem the Farmer reaches out for a group of adepts to come investigate. Myself, Cordwaine the Windling, T’sharka the T’skarnk, Grucluch the Troll and Dainwennin the Windling. We head out to Borgens rest village and turn towards the plains. We make it to Clems farm uneventful. As we perform the greeting rituals and the new kid, T’sharka is having seizures it appears. The guards at Borgens Rest look at her askance. We walk around town a bit and look around. We get the story of how the town was founded by Gronk and Ketta. Defeating the creatures of the area, brokering a deal with Bogopolus. While at the tavern, Laurence tells us a story about being captured by adventurers, forced to broker the deal with the Bog-gobs, and stealing an artifact from them.

As we leave Borgens Rest, we head north east, after a couple hours walk we arrive at Clems farm. Clem says he has lost 7 goats in the recent weeks. He asks us to find out what is going on. Whatever is killing his goats is also breaking his fences. He shows us some rubble. Cordawaine seems to think it is a large bird, probably not a horror. He also notices some tracks heading off to the east.

We find a 8 large birds on a plateau. They have large feet with razor sharp spurs, and beaks like snapping turtles. Dainwennin recognizes them to be Terak. He warns us about a pounce attack they have and the beaks can swallow a troll whole!

We move to engage and the birds charge us. They do have a terrifying beak attack. We are able to chase off 6 and kill 2. After a nights rest we begin the hunt for the rest of them. Find a couple by a small plateau. Engage and destroy 1, capturing the second.

When we track down the other birds we find the lady that was in the tavern. She is a master of the hunt and wanted to step up to the challenge and capture some of these creatures.
