Man, way to bury the lead! I've been reading and looking for inspiration for opposition, and wasn't getting it until now. They are the _best_ evil secret society. I want to run a sandbox-exploration style campaign, but the Sons of Thoth as a thread. Not every adventure is tied to the Sons, but they'll keep popping up. Maybe even hire the party for some of their early adventures. The Sons won't even seem all that malicious at first. It'll be little things, like a prisoner that gets a little talkative and receives a preemptive dab of lead to the brainpan, or burning a shop to destroy evidence. It won't be until later that they learn that the prisoner was the brother of the Son of Thoth that killed him and that the shopkeep and his family slept upstairs of their place of business. They won't know which adventure is innocuous and which is tied to a sinister mystical cabal.
