A thing that occurred to me is perhaps a new Romantic movement arising from the use of Technomancy and Magic. here's some information on the subject

Interesting thought, but magic does not return to Earth until 1877, which is a quarter century more or less after the glory days of the Romantic movement. Perhaps there could be some kind of revival, a Neo-Romantic sort of thing? Oh dear, now I'm seeing Midge Ure in steampunk togs...

If you;d like to write up something on it, 500 to 1000 words, it could be a blog entry at some point perhaps. What impact would a new Romanticism have on the highly technology-driven culture of the late 1800s? Would people see it as an antidote to the transition from steam to electricity and the increased mechanization of daily life, or would it be seen as a treacly recidivism, a glorying of a tradition that never really was? Would it spill over from representational art into literature and music? What about its impact on fashion? Would there be any notice of it at all in the working and poor classes?
