I just double-checked... the Talent I was assuming it was meant to be is Defensive Posture, not Defensive Stance. That's my bad. I don't have my download of the latest (full book, yay!) preview with me , or I'd see if it was now consistently Defense for everyone else (Air Sailor(W), Archer(W), Beastmaster(W), Cavalryman(W), Thief(M), Warrior(W).)

That could be. We might have renamed "Defense" to "Defensive Posture" and an update got missed in one of the Discipline lists.

Having looked through the Companion pre-art, I'm now convinced that the Swordmaster 10th Circle Discipline Talent should be Defensive Posture. There's no description of a Defense Talent and Defensive Posture is an Option for several Disciplines.

Yeah. I looked at the proof this evening, and it was a name change that didn't catch all the places it needed to change (because "defense" is a really common word in the text).

I don't know if you are still interested in typo's in Companion, but the link a few messages ago specifically says it is only for the KS backer version. Anyway, here is one in the PDF version. Maybe it can be fixed before the printed version.
Page 90. Title says it is "Ideal Appearance". Text says it is "Angelic Appearance".

So, I just took a look at Swordmaster 10th Circle. It's worse now, I'm afraid. It now reads:
Tenth Circle
Defensive Posture: The adept adds +3 to their Social Defense.
Recovery: The adept gains an additional Recovery test per day.
Discipline Talent: Defense
It should read:
Tenth Circle
Defense: The adept adds +3 to their Social Defense.
Recovery: The adept gains an additional Recovery test per day.
Discipline Talent: Defensive Posture

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. Try to keep in mind that it's a minor flaw in a fantastic book!
