Re: ELI5 the Horror Stalker path
here's my question perhaps better explained . . . You learn the knack, it can only be raised first by doing an ordeal than paying the LP. It only serves, in game mechanics, that each time it increases, you can learn another Talent Option from the Path These talent options from the path are independe...

Re: ELI5 the Horror Stalker path
I have questions: 1: So any paths requires learning the Knack which just gives you access to the path and the talents? 2: Once you purchase a Talent, it is raised on it's own like the rest of your talents? IE you spend LP as whatever the knack is at, in this case, Master? 3: Raising the Knack allows...

Improving Attribute SP cost?
so I understand that a part of ED is that money means something. That being said, what exactly are you paying for when you raise an attribute? P447 Attribute training costs money. Each day of training costs a character an average fee equal to his current Attribute Step × 10 silver pieces. If I'm rai...

How much does a wagon cost?
So the players 4 draft horses and wagon were taken by the villainous Fegis Kul!
Page 439, shows this
Wagon, Large 50
Wagon, Small 30
even though it's listed under transport/per person, I'm assuming that it's the cost of the wagon, not the price to ride in one?
thanks

Re: Disappointment with the Nethermancer
perhaps we need some tables to randomly generate quirks for various summoned spirits; what kind of payment they accept (or accept at a favourable or unfavourable rate), what kind of services they like, hated enemies or beloved allies that they'll act somewhat on their own to attack or protect, what...

Re: Aggressive Attack wording
so does that mean if you declare aggressive or defensive you take the penalty/bonus before your turn in the initiative?

Re: Hold thread talent
I'm not looking at the book; is there something about hold thread that requires the target to be in range? I certainly have never required that of any other spell. The magician may make a Spellcasting test to cast the spell during any of these rounds, but takes 1 Strain for each round the thread is...

Re: Hold thread talent
as I read it, it allows you to load up a big spell before you bust the door down and in the first round you can unleash something big for a cost for a few strain points, (pending how many rds you hold it.)
So for sure, it's value is having the surprise/ambush or knowing there's something bad ahead.
