More than one Talent Option each circle?
One if my players has suggested a house rule that would allow a player to choose more than one Talent Option each circle. His reasoning is that the Adept will advance more slowly through the circles, if he spends more LP on getting more Talents, and Ranks in more Talents, and that that will balance ...

Re: Banking in Barsaive
After having read the Questors book it wouldn't surprise me if you could find some Questors of Chorrolis willing to help you out with some arrangement in that regard. If the question about a banking organisation in Barsaive came up in my campaign, I would probably use Chorrolis in some way for that ...

Re: Wood Skin health ratings clarification
You'll find Wood Skin in both Earthdawn and 1879, and as far as I could see, they were worded identically in those games. So the question isn't wrong in this section, regardless of what game you were thinking of when asking...

Re: Wood Skin health ratings clarification
In first edition of Earthdawn it added to Death and Unconsciousness Ratings, and that is how I would interpret it now as well.

Re: Space Travel in 1879
Yes, that is a great idea for a campaign, but I think it'll have to be the next campaign, since the goal of this one is pretty big as it is: Finding a way back to Barsaive.

Re: Space Travel in 1879
I see. So my (or in-game: Marjorie's and Pauline's) idea of trapping some air elementals, or true air kernels, for air supply won't work? Well, back to the drawing board for them, I guess

Space Travel in 1879
As I was working on some GMCs for my campaign I thought about space travel in the steampunk genre. We have the RPGSpace 1889 for example, and books like From the Earth to the Moon, by Jules Verne. But then I recalled, if I remember correctly, that there was something stopping living organisms from g...

Game Master Screen Booklet - errata?
I am using some of the pregenerated characters in the Game Master Screen Booklet, and wondered if the Abilities gained from Tier Journeyman (PR 5 and higher) should be reflected in the numbers? It's mainly the bonuses to defence values I'm thinking about. They don't seem to be calculated into the nu...

Re: Multiple Professions
Yes, that difference between Talents and Skills (and between Disciplines and Professions) were one (two) of the reasons I started wondering about it. I wasn't sure it was doable, at least not in the same way as in Earthdawn, with Professions in 1879. In the particular case I am working with at the m...

Multiple Professions
Hello It's me again, with a question that I got while writing down stats for GMCs. Is it possible for someone to have multiple professions in 1879, like it is with Disciplines in Earthdawn? I couldn't find anything about it in the rulebooks. The case is an aristocrat who once was a cavalry officer. ...
