Re: Patient Resilience Question
Patient Resilience is a free action and does not specify a "trigger", so it can be activated at any point during the round not just when you act. Usually you'll want to do this just after activating Deliberate Assault to adjust your initiative to 0 to reap the maximum bonus. That...that might very ...

Patient Resilience Question
I just listened to the Earthdawn Survival Guide episode on the Gauntlet, and in it Mataxes mentions that Patient Resilience increases your armor ratings for the next round. He stumbled over his words, first starting to say it was until the end of the current round, but then changed what he said. The...

Re: The Swinging City of Axalalail
Balen's Burrow: I'm copy-pasting directly from my notes. Lonoko Icegarden is an elementalist friend the players met and helped a month (in game) or so prior to this, and she offered to give them a tour, even though the Burrow was closed off to outsiders due to a theft that happened a two months ago....

Re: The Swinging City of Axalalail
I'm nethering this thread because my players returned to Axalalail and finally attempted the Flying Bind. It was fun as the windling wagered against other players as they attempted different heights. They were killing time while the scholars at the small library did some research for them. The basic...

They, in fact, are well aware of that. And the one who hadn't played TTRPGs before? I repeatedly use the phrase around him.Sharkforce wrote: ↑Wed Sep 18, 2019 4:44 amwait, they chose falling rocks as their symbol?

Re: Under the Stars
Okay, okay, sorry. We've played several times since. I FINALLY have the write-ups done. Enjoy! The Rolling Stones head out to continue their trip to Urupa. Nothing bad could ever happen when they get to an unfinished amphitheater. Rolling Stones Rock Out Healing, making camp, and spotting a spy: pre...

Re: Question -> Construct: Shadow - Power: Possession
Something to think about, there's no reason a shadow need dictate everything the possessed person does. It could let the person act normally until certain times where it forces an off behavior or two to its advantage. Like at a critical time that causes a friend's death.

Re: Question -> Construct: Shadow - Power: Possession
I'm not a developer, but the pssessed person can only think freely, not speak. Speaking is a physical action of the body. In any case, if they could speak, they may warn their friends that they should be tied down!

Re: Help in balancing ritual magic and named spells
May I suggest a completely random chance of failure for Naming spells? Roll a percentile with a threshold determined by the circle of the spell (higher more likely to fail). You do everything with the spell, spend all the costs (except maybe LP), roll the necessary talents, and then if you succeed, ...
