Re: Group pattern threads and talent ranks
The cost you pay for increase depends on your base rank, also the base rank is considered for circle advancement. Any artifact thread, group thread or other onky-wonky increase comes on top as addition. I would personally also not give a knack that is unlocked on rank 7 when a player has rank 5 with...

Re: Kickstarter - past and Future
For my purpose, I have enough Dragons, Demons and Critters to kill and also to avoid (which is sometimes smarter) I would love to see something about: Urupa&Aras Sea Iopos&Jerris (with the latter probably being more playable unless one wants to play a fascist Iopian group trying to sabotage Throal)....

Re: Banking in Barsaive
Wikipedia says: In Babylonia of 2000 B.C., people depositing gold were required to pay amounts as much as one sixtieth of the total deposited. Both the palaces and temple are known to have provided lending and issuing from the wealth they held—the palaces to a lesser extent. Such loans typically inv...

Re: Stacking - Rule of Three
Oh, and no swordmaster who ever aspired to be more than annoying would max out Avoid Blow with Group Threads, etc. They would do Riposte instead. Here my next question: Can I riposte against FAILED attacks? Say I have a PD of 12 and my opponent misses, so in a fight I imagine him cutting a whole in...

Re: Stacking - Rule of Three
Thanks!
Riposte just has this disadvantage that it does not work against an angry Hydra biting and is quite exhausting.
Nice to annoy the warrior, but survival is key.

Stacking - Rule of Three
Is the rule of three still valid? Lets say I want to do semi-serious powergaming and annoy my warrior in the group with an unarmored arrogant Swordmaster that he simply can't hit. I want to boost my Dex based talents with a group thread tied to dexterity and one to avoid blow. Additionally I have an...

Re: Illusionist Displace Image spell - proposed clarifications
I agree that some key spells like the karma step manipulators miss.
Clarion call and nobody here however have saved many groups from big trouble or gave them just the extra 5 rounds to get ready for it.

Re: Character Journal available in PDF
I just bought it.
I like the way it is designed. Have one remaining question:
Am I not clever enough to activate the form fields to fill in all the non-changing information ? <- Preferred Option!
Or is this a pencil only document of 1993 ?

SummerCon in Osnabrueck, Germany
Hi Guys, I will offer an Earthdawn introduction at SummerCon in Osnabrueck, Germany. Maybe not too probable that someone here lives close but digital word is cheap. A bunch of 3rd Circle adventurers hired on a run down ship on the Aras sea to get home cheaply after a botched Kaer run. No turn around...

Re: Dice roller.
Hi Chris, this is a very kind offer. I have tried Roll20, especially with their PRO feature to create Dungeons with fog of war and dynamic lighting. I have to say I really liked the feature but it took me too much time to use it properly so I canceled the subscription. I would however be interested ...
