Re: Supply and Demand [Spoilers]
I just read the Adventure Outline published in the GM section. At every possible point we took unexpected options. I mean it says, if the PCs do (a) then this happens, and if they do (b) then that happens, and every time we did something not listed. Very excellent GMing to make it all feel so well p...

Re: Supply and Demand [Spoilers]
The approaching "plumbers" had fired a shot at the giant snake before demanding our surrender. Price later told me that he had seen the bullet hit, leaving a wound that leaked a few drops of blood before sealing over completely with no other obvious effect. It did not even seem to make the snake mad...

Re: Airship Altitude
Some good stuff for a roleplay? Finding the right wind! So, unless the airship is trying to be inconspicuous or flying over a mountain range, I don't see why they'd go over a 1000 feet... or even 500. I really would not discount the importance of finding a tailwind. It is absolutely vital. Today's r...

Re: Airship Altitude
True Air harvesting is also done at very high altitude, in extreme cold. Looking at the question from a modern general aviation standpoint, airplanes get better gas mileage the higher they fly, moderated by the fuel they spend getting that high. Thus, the farther you want to fly, the more worthwhile...

Re: 1879: The Expendables
Lord Bentley's journal. Day 20 out of Caracas We continue our march South. The bipeds are growing steadily more bold. Some were spotted in tree's, they apparently use the claws on their short front arms to help them climb (much like a human will use his hands to climb trees). We have never seen mor...

Re: Supply and Demand [Spoilers]
At breakfast the next morning, we three were approached by a person who introduced himself as Lord Carnavon. At first impression he seemed to be minor nobility fallen upon hard times. He said that he had been approached by a friend who had some sort of official connection with the water company (may...

Re: Knacks as skills
I am going to agree with everybody else, but think that an example might make it very plain. Let us take the "Swinging Move" knack of the "Climbing" talent. Let us assume that the GM rules that the "Swinging Move" skill is a default-able skill, and anybody may attempt a swinging move test using only...

Re: Languages
As far as the "common language" goes, I would not give too much thought to it, in my mind that is just a multi-system crutch to make games workable. Things just go so much easier if you assume that everybody you will ever meet speak Throalic. In practice it might really be that only the better educa...

For additional discussion see this thread http://www.fasagames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=505 and this thread http://www.fasagames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=368 Short answer: It depends on how you want to do it. Various people, including the developers have their own favorite methods, but the...
