Info Search - cost of Elemental Kernels
I've been looking, but I can't find what I'm looking for. It may not exist, but... well, I ask you devoted fans. Was there ever a place in the first edition books where the cost/value of kernels of True Elements was given? I know there's a table that first appeared in the Player's Compendium from ED...

Re: High Circle Preview: Scout
I love the flavor of the World Pulse Talent, and of the high levels in general. As it is, caused me to take another look at Scouts, and I love them more now. Might be my favorite after Illusionists and Elementalists (which are tied). (I typically picked Ranger in some other system, so I shouldn't b...

One thing to keep in mind with regard to multiple Wounds per test:
It blunts a couple of creature powers and higher-Circle talents that explicitly allow that option.

New Earthdawn Podcast!
A new Earthdawn podcast launched today. Live from Barsaive has two episodes out. The first is kind of an introduction where they lay out their plans, and the second one starts looking at trolls and the Twilight peaks. I've listened to the first two episodes, and I like the approach. It's shaping up ...

Re: Stacking (ED4)
I don't recall the particular statement you're thinking of exactly, but it's more that in earlier editions, there came a point where the amount of damage a magician could put out in upper Journeyman circles could make the physical combatants little more than a screen to keep baddies away from the ca...

Re: Optional Rules for Companion
Yeah. I think if I put that into the Companion I would have to look at the numbers a bit harder because... maybe I picked a bad combo, but that example was weak.

Re: Optional Rules for Companion
I guess you don't understand how piecemeal armor works? Basically, piecemeal armor breaks armor up into different pieces (IIRC, small, medium, and large) and assigns armor ratings to the pieces (which are individually lower than the full set of armor). The idea being that you can have, say, a plate ...

Re: Stacking (ED4)
First, what is this group "Flute Pattern Item" of which you speak? It sounds like you've twisted things in a way to give your party WAY too many buffs. The only way for a person to give a bump TO SOMETHING ELSE is with Pattern Items. You're saying that, not only have you allowed your group to creat...

Re: Porting weapons from 3 to 4
Sure. There wasn't much that was changed with regard to weapons. I don't recall offhand if anything was considered overpowered or broken with the weapons from that book that would require us to revisit it. (Maybe the dinganni claws?)
