Elves: The Wheel of Life
More questions / request for opinions again: Kinda just found out there was a whole section about game mechanics at the end of the Denizens / Namegivers of Barsaive and the section about the Wheel of Life really confused me. From reading the 'in game' section my understanding was that when changing ...

Re: The old Racial only Disiplines.
They are working on a book (temporary name: Mystic Paths) that is supposed to be an ''Adept's Way'' that will include 4E adaptations for the extended Disciplines. The release date is unsure however since the Elven Nations, the Iopos AND the 'arcane book' (that one that will, finally, includes the ne...

Scorchers
Lots of questions lately, thanks to everyone taking the time to answer. I finally got to reading the human part of the Denizen and I realized that in the list of the 'ethnic groups' (Cathan, Dinganni etc) are the... Scorchers. I always assumed the Scorchers were (mostly) orks although now that I thi...

Re: Pale Ones t'skrang
Thank you. On an completely unrelated topic: I was reading the description of the battle of Skypoint in the 4ED Gamemaster book and noticed that there is no mention of the appearance of the Airship Earthdawn during the fight. Was that 'retconned' out from 'Barsaive at War' or was it just omitted? Th...

Re: Pale Ones t'skrang
OK, so found another game module/shard called Pale River that refer (ever so slightly) to Earthroot but I'm pretty sure I had seem an adventure involving the Great Dragon and/or the White Tree in more details. The Dragon books gives more details about his links with the Pale Ones and confirm that th...

Pale Ones t'skrang
I'm trying to find something I've read about those before but I can't seem to find in which book it was: I'm pretty sure I remember reading a whole adventure dealing with those and (I think) it was involving a Great Dragon guarding/working with them. I'm NOT talking about the Westhrall Passage/The W...

Re: Yrns Morgath
I don't think there is anything canon beside the tidbits of rumors in the Survival Guide and the Serpent River books. I believe they kept that wide open so that any GM could use this any way they want. I could totally imagine it has being an unopened kaer or citadel of the FIRST Scourge. Either aban...

Re: Astral Sensing Redux
I think we can agree that:
- The written rules can clearly and easily be interpreted as Astral Sensing counting as 'knowing where the target is'/'LOS
- That the DEVs seems to have clearly stated that it was not the case.
And:
- That an official errata/clarification would have been great.

Re: Astral Sensing Redux
I thank everyone who went through the troubles of answering my original question. Although I agree with the interpretation that the DEV's seemed to imply in previous posts that: 1. Need Line of Sight (or touch). Only Mystic Shock is an exception. 2. Not magic and magic objects between caster and tar...

Re: Astral Sensing Redux
It might be most accurate to say that all windlings have access to the "Astral Sight" Creature Power, just like Blood Ravens and many other creatures do. The "Astral Sight" Creature Power is exactly like the Talent. In fact the exact words in the book for the blood raven says "Astral Sight, as the ...
