Re: Adding Karma
1st Edition through to 4th Edition I’ve always taken the rules to mean you roll all the dice together. It shouldn’t make a difference to the outcome of the test if you roll the karma separately other than taking longer. The text doesn’t seem to spell this out, but many of the examples suggest this i...

Re: Travar Released!
Since it is mentioned that Travar is in the fifth tablet there could be one or two pages describing possible locations of the previous four. Like Josh said, what would you have cut from the book to make room for those two pages? At one point there were a few exceptionally vague clues, that if taken...

Re: Balancing encounters
For the most part I don't balance encounters. Its not natural. I do however build in a way for an encounter to be avoided, worked arround in a fun fashion, or describe it in a way that says 'yeah, this is best avoided' Don't get me wrong, i dont throw The Hunter of Great Dragons at 1st circle charac...

Yep, that test would have proved there was no Horror taint. "Sorry Sir, you can't come in until you pass the test" "No problem, just give me a year or two"

Re: Haggle clarification
- village vendor, Haggle of 0-2. - town vendor, Haggle of 1-4. - city vendor, Haggle of 3-6. - famous stores/sellers, expensive or niche goods, guild master, Haggle of 5-8 This is interesting. While there is probably no correlation to real life, the modern age seems to be the opposite. I find villa...

Re: Much Ado About Nothing
Anyway, my thoughts on High Circle play from never having actually engaged in it: The way i see it, you can't really write generic adventures for characters once they've reached Warden level or so. They have had an impact on the setting, made ties with people and places, built up histories, and est...

Re: Much Ado About Nothing
I dont think any of my group ever got beyond 5th or 6th Circle. The thing that held progression back in our case is the increasing knowledge of all the new talents. My group generaly needs a bit of hand holding and thats an ever increasing burden on the GM. So when a campaigm ends, often the charact...

The whole Journal section is by Shiellen Woodsong. The itallic text is just to indicate where his personal thoughts interrupt his documentation of the history.Kosmit wrote:On pages 14 and 15 there seem to lack authors of the quotes used.
