Called Shot to ignore armor?
Called Shot (Players Guide p. 384) A character makes a precise attack against a target, at-tempting to strike a specific body part, hitting a weapon, striking a designated object, and so on. The player declares what object or part of his opponent his character is attempting to hit with the called sh...

Re: Mystic Paths - racial restrictions
It's not entirely true though. Brother of Stone does not specifically call out "Obsidimanx in the Path requirement. Same for Outcast and Woodsman. Outcast on the other hand require that the adept completes the Ritual of Severence, which sort of states that only Trolls can become Outcast, bit it is n...

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs
Yeah, it's a bit unclear (or not?)
Players Guide p. 379 states that:
Players Guide p. 379 states that:
Regardless of whether the attack is made with a weapon or a spell, the Damage test result determines the number of damage points inflicted on the target.

Re: Fourth Edition Errata, Clarifications, and FAQs
Players Guide p. 353. Spell: Giant Size If successful, the target immediately grows 50 percent larger than his normal size, gaining a +4 bonus to Strength-only, Tough-ness-only, and Damage tests during the spell’s duration. I'm guessing this doesn't refer to all Damage test e.g. Spell Damage tests..?

Re: Willforce vs Effect Step
Thanks for clarifying that. So in that sense Willforce is pretty much useless for Mind Fog and other spells with the same wording?

Willforce vs Effect Step
The core rules dictate that you substitute your Willforce Step for your Willpower Step when making Effect tests . Question: Can Willforce be used for spells where the Effect Step is only used for resisting/overcoming the spells effect? Using Mind Fog as an example, which has an Effect Step of WIL+3:...

Re: Disbelieving damaging illusions
I'm talking about the part where a target can freely decide that a spell being cast is an illusion or not, even before the actual spell even being cast, and by doing so totally ignoring any of its effect, no roll needed whatsoever. So the poor Illusionist that just tried casting Phantom Flame just w...

Re: Threads, Ranks and Steps
I'm one of the guys that used to run Strands. I don't have a copy of the entire site, but I do still have a database that includes things like magic items, creatures, spells, etc. These were the type of things we could script to be pulled from the database and inserted into page templates. Would it...
