Re: Assistance Mechanic
Hiya, FWIW (caveat: I'm not using ED4, but a highly-modified ED3 on steroids), this is how I generally handle situations where assistance is a possibility. Here's the salient steps. Feel free to modify for ED4--shouldn't be difficult. 1. Assistance involves one Primary character and up to two Assist...

Re: Adventure module list
Hiya,
Primarily the latter. It's an updated version of the EDC version of MoB for ED3. EDC MoB differs from the ED1 version in that it's more low-Circle friendly. For example, the first major encounter shouldn't be TPK-worthy (no spoilers), like the one for ED1 can be.

Re: Adventure module list
Hiya, Speaking as a previous Line Developer (and Publisher), the subject of canon -- at least from my own perspective -- pretty much mirrors Lou's opinion. Anything published under license should be considered canon. How you interpret it or apply it to "Your Barsaive" (or "Your Earthdawn") is up to ...

Re: Other Editions
Hiya, Just a quick note: EDC released the Discipline Talent options which were later used for Third Edition as a free PDF (along with other similar freebies). Otherwise, that edition is pretty much complete in two books. Three books only if you require detailed information on the Name-giver races. T...

Re: character help - versatility, spells, and non-magicians
Hiya, I recall seeing a chart in a previous edition book that laid out the maximum amount of matrix one could have. I've looked in 2nd edition core, 1st edition core/companion, and the 2 first edition magic supplements and can't locate it now. It might work as a guideline. It was ED3's attempt to fi...

Re: Invae, where to look?
Hi PiXeL01, As Lars kindly noted, in ED4 there is some information in the Gamemaster's Guide (with some specific game information in the Spirits chapter). ED1 has information in the Barsaive box set, touching on the Invae Burnings in The Barsaive Gamemaster Book, along with some "one size fits all" ...
