Re: Group Pattern

Greetings, This is addressed in "Using Woven Threads" on p. 230, which covers all threads to Pattern Items. Group Patterns are a special exception and get their own section. Hopefully this helps. Please let me know if there are any questions or anything else I can do. Best regards, Morgan In other ...

Group Pattern

Reading the group pattern section in the Player's Guide and I'm surprised to find how unclear what is the advantages of it. The rules are quite clear on the procedures, conditions and cost of a Group Pattern but the only thing I can find on the advantages is a cryptic line stating: These threads can...

Re: New Magic Book

I'm not sure what you mean by 'newly released magic book'. The latest book released so far was Eleven Nations somewhere in March. The next book that will be released (the one with the current Kickstarter) is more of an 'Adpet's Way'. The 'magical book' will be the one including the Warden+ spells. W...

Re: order of combat steps

They way I'd see it (and again, that's only my opinion) is that in this case 'Pounce' is just another type of attack, in the same 'family' as Melee/Missile/Throwing Weapons. And that therefore, just like those attacks, the attack and the damage happen at the same time. It think the way you are pictu...

Re: order of combat steps

A lioness attacks, uses pounce and knocks her opponent to the ground. Can she use her surprise strike for the following damage roll? (It wasnt eligible when the attack "started") My opinion: Although Surprise Strike may be used on targets that are Knocked Down, the Attack and the Damage roll happen...

Re: Kratas

Only downloads from prior editions that I can see on the FASA Games site are for ED3, so that's a nope, sorry. :( Take kaer, James Pretty much all the books from 1st, 2nd, Classic, 3rd (and even including the 'Revised', ''Savage' and 'Pathfinder') editions are available on the FASA site. The only e...

Re: Kratas and Daiche

Using this map (http://fondationdraco.fr/barsaive-1517-th/) and a measuring tape, I'd say just under 2 days on foot. This, however, is based on the usual in-game rule of 'only' walking 8 hours per day. Considering the large amount of thieves, thugs and brigands AND taking into account the several ba...

Re: Talent Options becoming Free Talents

Personally, I'd treat it the same way it happens with skills; the character gets 'both' talents and gets to choose how to use them. - If the 'Free Version' is already equal or higher than the 'Normal Version' then its not even a question; the character will use the Free one and never spend another L...

Re: Severely distracted

I'd say the character who rolled the highest on his Distract Test will have distracted the target enough that he would not notice the distraction from the other character.

Re: Charging Attacks and Charge Talent

Thank you all for your answers but one of those answers is confusing me a bit: the mount must move more than it's movement rate towards the target, which is another way of saying it takes 2 rounds to initiate a charge My understanding is that since 'Movement' in 4th Edition is the equivalent of the ...
