Re: Earthdawn Companion?

Will there be a poll which book should be first? ;) My personal (maybe not THAT important) opinion on the order of publication is: - Companion (because it seems to be almost finished) - Elven Nations - Iopos (bring it on! new cool background stuff :D ) - Disciplines - Mystic Emporium Let's not forg...

Re: Earthdawn Companion?

Thank you for the update and prompt answer. Although I'm sure this has been answered elsewhere; will the companion cover the 'extended' disciplines like the Wind-master/dancer/scout, Purifier etc or will we have to wait for racial books (i.e. Denizens of ED) for canon 4th edition rules about those? ...

Air Sailing VS Sailing

Another questions for the wise ones here. Would you agree that the Talent Air Sailing apply only to the 'propulsion' part of Air Sailing? What I mean by that is that the Attribute used for it (Will power) makes sense only in that case. Everything else should use a more related Attribute (PER for nav...

Re: Relative age by race

Of course nobody expects mature judgement from a windling of any age, but that is another story. /nods For the shorter lived races, I would expect the opposite to be true. Making a comparison to a species we are more familiar with, a two year old dog is an adult dog, and we expect it to behave like...

Re: Relative age by race

Anyone knows if Shadowrun addressed this?

Since they are the same races and (I'm assuming) having the same life expectancy/physical maturity rate, would a 14 years old 'adult' ork be denied purchase of alcohol? Would a adolescent looking 18 years old elf be allowed to vote?

Re: Relative age by race

Maturity has two components: brain-body development and experience, both of which are variable from individual to individual. Sticking to humans, you can have really mature 12 year old and extremely childish 24 year old, because quality of experience matters much more than quantity of experience. H...

Relative age by race

I hit a little snag on how to handle age for children in Earthdawn. I'm currently dealing with an issue concerning the street gang 'Ghagin's grandchildren' in the Kratas sourcebook. The gang is formed exclusively by children (except for the leader, an old dwarf) and I'm having issues on how 'mentall...

Re: Regarding Astral imprints

T If we put an astral object (let say a dead tree) on the astral imprint of a name-giver, will he feel it's weight and be crushed? The way I see it, the 'astral object' of your dead tree is 'there' because there IS a dead tree 'there' in the real world. The only way to move the astral imprint of th...

Re: Summoning

- It seems weird that they get 1 service with negotiation success number of powers. Let's say I get an ally spirit with 1 service and one power use. I say, "Buddy, kill those rats please!" That's his service. But he has Insubstantial and Poison. He's not going to use both powers to attack the rats?...
