I had an adventure with a blood charm that generated prime numbers. It was issued to adventurers that left the kaer temporarily. If they were clear of corruption, it would generate a 5-digit prime number that could be entered into a massive stone combination lock that would open a small passage back...

I like the idea of there being a ritual in the BoT because the spells require a pretty high circle wizard. If they’re an GMC then you have to juggle keeping them from hogging the spotlight but still having them be be believable journeyman adepts.

There's room for all kinds of groups and all styles of play. I didn't work through all of these scenarios in the same way that you did, but I came to the conclusion that you can either have an adventure game or a dying of sepsis game.
