Re: [ED3] Re-sizing magical items

I played a windling in 1st edition, and dimly recall that sizing was an issue. On the other hand, I never actually attached a thread to anything I felt my windling could not constantly lug around, so maybe they would have resized if I had attached the thread. It is also possible that the rule was th...

Re: shaking off with willpower

1) Since it does not say otherwise, I would assume the attempt to shake off Steely Stare can be made once per round. 2) To me it makes more sense that it would be a Standard Action. However Lion Heart, which is the Willpower test replacement Talent is a Free action. Thus it is reasonable to say that...

Re: economics

I also looked more at the expenses side of the equation than the income side. This is what one of my campaigns came up with. Note that the silver values are considerably lower than what is listed in the Barsaive Boxes Set, but we consider them more in line with the prices of 4th ED price list. Howev...

Re: Monetary Rewards per Session

Most people would say that it depends upon the GM. A lot of GMs like to keep their players a bit Hungry for silver, with the occasional bonanza that lets the players feel great. On the other hand if the characters are spending 80% of their calendar days in major cities while the spellcasters do rese...

Re: Group True Pattern Threads

You need to look at several different sections of the Players Guide. Pages 235-236 and 219. Page 219 says "Weaving permanent threads requires a character to spend Legend Points based on the item and the rank of the thread being woven. The expenditure of Legend Points creates the permanent thread". I...

Re: combat tactics

Interesting discussion, but there are a lot of house rule proposals on a topic that I am not sure deserves them. Mostly the advantages people are proposing house rules to deliver can be achieved just by having a character Reserve an action to perform a Shield Bash. So what is wanted can be achieved ...

Re: Questors Errata

But why would Vestrial, the Passion of deceit and lies, force her questors to honor their words about a trade ? I don't see how the "Once engaged, the questor must make the purchase or fall into severe disfavor of [their Passion]" apply to a Vestrial questor. Several possibilities here, and I would...

Re: Questors Errata

It seems questors of Vestrial have access to the "Let's make a deal" devotion. Very excellent points, and I agree that all or most of the references to "Chorrolis" need to be replaced by references to "their Passion". But I have always thought the Devotion has reasonable limits, and even one trap, ...

Re: AAR: [4M] A Walk in the Park

From the journal of August Rey Responding to an advert, Jael, Django, and I went to the opulent offices of Vincent Carlisle, who hired us to deal with an Ogre problem at a farming concern he owns. He kept us waiting for 20 minutes before we saw him, then gave us a 17 page contract he wanted us to si...
