Re: Summon Bone Spirit

I usually just take the first watch each night, and then set up the circle. I'm eagerly awaiting Circle 5 so I can summon it in one turn. If you set one up each night you should have two of them within range if you travel 20 miles per day. I actually missed that. Unfortunately my DM would probably ...

Re: Fire canons and Missile Weapons

As for 4e... patience is my only counsel. But I would give them +5 damage per additional success. Wow, this would make True Shot a bit too powerful with fire cannons, I would even think of adding one on a cart and have our obsidian pull it to oneshot each horror or dragon I meet  so we can...

Re: Entertainer Talent for Troubadour

if you're looking for a limitation, having a minimum exposure time before they can do that kind of performance would probably be my solution (so, let's say the exposure time is 1 hour, and they come across a new instrument. they could watch someone play it for an hour, or practice for an hour, and t...

Re: Gained talents and improvement

i'd say no simply because it isn't their talent. to improve the talent would require enhancing the pattern of the thread item, and while i would say that isn't impossible, it is not at all the same procedure you'd take to improve one of your own talents. it is at best only a very little bit like ver...

Re: [ED4] Same spell multiple times on one target - what happens?

The opposite is true: effects that do stack are listed in the description. Multiple instances of the same spell only used the "biggest" effect (absolute value). Stacking multiple Mind Daggers on the same target without changing the penalty effectively increases the duration; as one runs out, there ...

Re: Facing and blindside

i've yet to see someone fight in such a way that they are up against two opponents and spend most of their time facing in the direction of neither of them, relying entirely on their peripheral vision against both enemies. facing is more dynamic than can be shown in a turn-based game, but so is attac...

Re: Facing and blindside

option B (though as noted, 2 attackers would be sufficient for one of them to blindside) makes the most sense to me barring extraordinary circumstances.

Re: Animal Trainnig vs Animal Talk

not liking the answers i give is not the same thing as me not addressing your points. but anyways, i'm quite content after this to just not bother having conversations with you in the future. i could do without the ad hominem. so first off, people have EXPLICITLY compared griffins to animals that ar...

Re: Animal Trainnig vs Animal Talk

you pretty much don't really tame *any* creature in adulthood. animal taming does it anyways. and if you can train a griffin to gladly take a rider on its back, it seems improbable that it is the result of immutable biology. so how are they suddenly developing this absolute hatred for taking a rider...
